GIMP Interest
Gaby and I were casually discussing GIMP, and I thought I'd poke and see what guild interest in i t was.
Mind you, there are too many underdeveloped prestige options right now, I'd like to wait a bit before tackling the topic seriously.
Still, I'd like to get some input in, see if there's any reason to set goals for it

GIMP is a play on the word 'gimp', loosely meaning 'handicapped'.
From this, it became a backronym of 'Get Into Multiclassing Project'.
The standard GIMP guidelines tend to be:
Roll to randomly determine what race you will be playing as.
Roll to randomly determine what 3 classes you will play with.
You may build your first 3 levels as you choose, taking a single level in each class.
Each level after the 3rd, you roll to see which of your three classes you will be leveling in-
since this is only rolled upon reaching that level, you must reconsider your build each and every level.
This adds an interesting tactical element to character building.
Gimps may only party with other gimps, may not use stores or AH (except for convenience items like gem bags), and may only trade/accept in trade loot acquired in the dungeon they currently are in, or just left.
Here is the real key to GIMP: You have a party of screwy underpowered builds, who have to carefully manage their loot and resources, and who thus have to rely on teamwork to overcome obstacles.
There is nothing as satisfying as taking on a dungeon 'normal' parties have difficulty with, and beating it with a party of GIMPs.
The last GIMP guild I ran with also had some 'extreme challenge' rules..
For example: We could only run quests on elite, and we could only repeat quests a limited number of times each.
The game has changed to where we'd no longer hoarde cure lighht pots, farm nicked scimitars, papercut wands, and mind caps..
But it should still be fun ;
Rather, the freeform style of the new enhancements means that it could get really, really engaging on character building.
Well, let me know your thoughts!

Actually, I've rather been toying
With the idea of permadeath (PD) lately (meaning for the last few months)...just for the change of pace. But... no clue how well nor how long that might last (as a group) since... I'd think the rest would outlevel the one's who die, and have to re-roll. (Same basic concept though: no AH/transferred items from alts, just those in party from what we're running, or have run)

Re: GIMP Interest
I ran too much PD in the past; I for one wouldn't be interested :/
I think the highest anyone ever got in my PD guild (and we had super strict rules there as well; eg, always elite) was 12
