Upcoming TR/ED/Exp Changes Empty Upcoming TR/ED/Exp Changes

This is nothing new, so if you're up to date, feel free to jump right in on giving your impressions.
For those who don't follow dev updates religiously, or had confusion on the subject, h're you go:


* The first time you complete any quest, you gain a +20% bonus to xp. Unlike Bravery Bonus, this 'Daily Bonus' resets each day.

* Quest repitition penalties will gain a ransack-like timer, allowing them to reset after (estimated 3~) days.

* Turbine is revisiting the old storylines interlocking the various chains that were removed from in-game presence by adding in 'Saga NPCs'. These npcs will act like chain questgivers, covering multiple chains rather than simply multiple quests, except their rewards will be better and can only be collected once per Saga.

* You will be able to remove the level 1 locked class for an Iconic class toon by using a +1 or better (Lesser) Heart.

* XP curves in both heroic and epic tables will be updated to make for faster leveling (and less dramatic high level xp reqs). Moreover, epic destiny levels (including from inactive destinies) will convert into a yet-to-be-determined number of heroic level ranks for a higher TR starting level in that next life.

* Epic Destiny experience will only carry over in that destiny if it is the one you are actively TRing, or have TRed at least once in the past.

* Epic Destinies are planned to be expanded at the addition of Character Level 30.

* Iconic Classes will have their own TR system. You will be able to freely TR in and out of Iconic Classes, starting at level 15 each Iconic life. Completing an Iconic TR will up your starting stat points by 2, just like a normal TR does (not stacking, exact same system).

* Epic Destinies will have their own TR system, requiring you to max both character level and active destiny level to TR that destiny. Completing an Epic Destiny TR will also TR your active (normal or Iconic) class, allowing for 2 total past life feats to be gained at once. Just like normal and Iconic TRing, completing an epic TR will increase your starting stat points by 2 (this however stacks, bringing total possible stat points to 38pt build)

* All TR feats- epic and Iconic- will stack up to 3x, just like normal TR feats do.



(This all is planned to be the core of the next update following the expansion, and scheduled to come out by the end of the year.)

Edit: Totes forgot to mention: Each Iconic will have access to a bonus quest exclusive to that Iconic path (to elaborate that Iconic character's unique story).

As for my opinion on it, I'm hella excited.
This along with the enhancement update will really revitalize builds/the game and make TRing fun.

I love that they decided to make it so open, and so synergetic.
It's a far cry from their past approaches, which speaks well on the future of the game.

Do you remember when they named each Update (eg, Rise of the Guilds)?
I think this one would have been called 'Experiencing Experience' Razz

A key point to sort out soon after release is if 'bonded' Epic Destinies (ones that no longer lose XP on TR) still count to next-life-starting ranks. If so, it'd be WAY better to take each Epic Destiny once (gaining Epic Completionist in the process) before taking 2x and 3x in an ED (by simply reaching max charachter level again).


Another point to note is the Iconic-stat-upping. It's far better to take Iconic (starting at 15) for your first two lives, and then take (now 36 pt) normal class TRs.
